👉Thousands of residents in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo are under evacuation orders as a wildfire southwest of Fort McMurray approaches the community. Neighbourhoods including Beacon Hill, Abasand, Prairie Creek, and Grayling Terrace are affected. The wildfire has consumed nearly 21,000 hectares, fueled by shifting winds and rising temperatures. Around 6,000 to 6,600 residents are impacted by the evacuation order. Those unable to evacuate are directed to muster points for transit to safety. Evacuation centers are set up in Cold Lake and Edmonton, offering accommodation, food services, and pet care.✅ .
