๐Ontario is considering expanding the role of pharmacists by allowing them to treat additional minor ailments, administer more vaccines, and order lab tests. Currently, pharmacists can address 19 ailments such as pink eye and acne. The government now proposes adding conditions like sore throat, headaches, and fungal infections to the list. Additionally, they may fund pharmacists to administer vaccines for tetanus, shingles, and RSV, among others. Pharmacy technicians could also be permitted to provide these vaccines. While pharmacists support the expansion to ease the burden on the health-care system, some doctors express concerns about this shift in responsibilityโ . ๐๐จ๐ฆ @jom_mattam . . #OntarioHealth #PharmacyCare #HealthCareAccess #PharmacistRole #VaccineExpansion #MinorAilments #HealthReform #mnm #malayalisnearmeapp #canadaupdate #canadanews
